Applying psychology to the law

 Dr. Babbitt is a Clinical Psychologist licensed in Wisconsin and in Minnesota.  He has worked with children, adolescents, and families for over 30 years, and has been doing work in the field of forensic psychology (working at the interface between psychology and law) for over 20 years. 

Dr. Babbitt is a Member of the American College of Forensic Psychology.  As an expert witness, Dr. Babbitt remains neutral, objective and will deliver his report in a timely fashion.  Dr. Babbitt has provided expert witness testimony in counties all through the St. Croix Valley, in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Specialty forensic services include psychological evaluations in complex family law matters for both or just one litigant. Evaluations can also be useful in competency proceedings, certain criminal cases where mental illness is a contributing factor, and other instances where knowing more about the client’s mental health status can be helpful.

Dr. Babbitt also provides pre-surgical psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery, back surgeries, etc.

When a more structured approach is needed by the family court system, Dr. Babbitt performs Custody Evaluations to help the Court determine the best interest of the child/children in placement decisions.
